The Modular Systems PCU24/36 is a four-tier vented shelving starter kit with poly-coated steel posts and composite shelf plates, made for coolrooms, freezers and wet kitchen areas. It measures 910 W x 610 D x 1800 H mm and each shelf is rated to 250kg. At 910mm wide, it is a handy size for smaller coolrooms and wet areas. For a slimmer footprint, the PCU18/36 is the same width at 455mm deep.

Good to know before you buy:

• Access: the carton is 700 x 1000 x 1900 mm, so check your doorways, corridors and any tight corners for the 1900mm length. Delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises; standard delivery doesn't include bringing it inside or unpacking.
• What's included: this is the starter kit for one four-tier unit with adjustable feet. Castors (5 inch, with or without brake, sold individually), corner connectors and the PCA24/36 add-on unit are extra.
• Going mobile: on castors the whole unit is rated to 300kg in total, far less than four fully loaded shelves, so lighten the load if you fit wheels.
• Space: the assembled unit needs 910 x 610mm of floor space and 1800mm of height. In a coolroom, keep it clear of the evaporator fan so cold air can circulate.
