Short on floor space but need a proper upright freezer? The Polaris HPXS 40 BT from the Handy range is only 600 mm wide and 600 mm deep, and still stores 320 litres at -15°C to -25°C. It suits small kitchens, bakeries, bars and cafes, and is rated for room temperatures up to 43°C. It is the freezer twin of the HPXS 40 TNN fridge, in an identical stainless steel cabinet.

Good to know before you buy:

• Access: it is narrow enough for most doorways, but stands 1930 mm tall. It is delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises.
• Power: runs on single-phase 240V power.
• Airflow: ventilation is top-down from the refrigeration unit, so keep the space above and around the cabinet clear.
• Cleaning: the control panel opens for regular condenser cleaning, which helps it keep running efficiently.
