The UX-40SB DD is an undercounter glasswasher that takes a 400 x 400 mm basket with 300 mm of load height. It suits bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants that mainly wash glasses and cups behind the counter. It is the smallest Sammic washer in our range; pair it with the GP-8 polisher if you want glasses dried and polished as they come out.

Good to know before you buy:

• Power: comes with a 15 amp plug, so it needs a 15 amp power point.
• Water: needs a water connection and drain, connected by a licensed plumber. It is Watermark approved.
• Delivery: delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises. Check doorways and under-counter space for a 490 x 540 x 710 mm unit, about 41.5 kg.
• Installation: the water supply and drain must be connected by a licensed plumber. We supply the equipment only.

Common questions:

Is it only for glasses?
No. Sammic rates the 300 mm load height for a wide range of glasses and even medium-sized dishes, and a mixed basket for plates is supplied. For trays, gastronorm pans and large plates, look at a dishwasher with a bigger basket and more load height.

Do I need to buy separate dosing pumps?
No. The detergent dispenser, rinse aid pump and a drain pump with level sensor are fitted, so you only need to supply the detergent and rinse aid.

Does it need a water softener?
One isn't included. Sammic offers manual and automatic water softeners and the OS-140 reverse osmosis unit as extras. If your water is hard, ask us about adding one when you order.
