The Dihr OPTIMA 400 is a compact undercounter washer for glasses, small plates and cutlery, built for bars and cafes that want more control than a basic glasswasher. An electronic control panel with a TFT screen gives you up to 8 wash cycles, and a pressurised stainless steel boiler with a rinse pump keeps rinse pressure and temperature steady. It uses the same 400 x 400mm rack as the GS 40, but adds the TFT controls, self-diagnostics, peristaltic dispensers and a self-cleaning cycle.

Good to know before you buy:

• Glass height: the maximum item height is 260mm, so check your tallest glasses and jugs before you order. The GS 40 takes items up to 305mm.
• Power: 2.62 kW on single phase 240V. Have a licensed electrician confirm a suitable circuit. We supply the equipment only.
• Water and drain: it needs a water connection and a drain, connected by a licensed plumber. Dihr specifies water hardness of 2–8 °F (French degrees), so ask your plumber whether your site needs a softener.
• Access: a compact 450mm wide unit, delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises. Bringing it inside and unpacking are not included.

Common questions:

Can it wash plates as well as glasses?
Yes, it is a glass, dish and cutlery washer, with a 400 x 400mm rack and 260mm of height. For full-size dinner plates, the 500 x 500mm OPTIMA 500 is the better fit.

Do I need to buy dispensers?
No. Peristaltic detergent and rinse aid dispensers are built in, and you set the dosage from the control panel.

Do you install it?
We supply the equipment only. It must be connected by a licensed plumber and a licensed electrician in your area.
