Williams Quartz Star HQS1SSHC - 1 Door Stainless Steel Upright Storage Fridge 740mm 500L
For a commercial kitchen that wants a tough, easy-to-clean 500 litre upright, the Williams Quartz Star HQS1SSHC pairs a stainless steel interior and exterior with a solid door and a 43°C ambient rating. It is made in Australia, holds +1°C to +4°C, runs on R290 refrigerant from a 10 amp plug and keeps its refrigeration system in a removable cassette under the cabinet. Compared with the white Colorbond HQS1SWHC it is the same fridge in a finish that suits open kitchens and health inspections; compared with the glass door HQS1GSHC it gives up the display lighting for a higher room temperature rating.
Key features:
- Stainless steel interior and exterior (excluding rear and underside), stainless steel internal floor
- Solid insulated door, right-hand hinged as standard
- Rated for kitchens up to 43°C
- 500 litres of storage with 4 adjustable plastic-coated shelves on strips and clips
- CoolSmart electronic controller holds +1°C to +4°C
- Bottom-mounted removable refrigeration cassette for simple maintenance and servicing
- Waste heat recovery vaporiser, so no external drain
- Auto defrost and R290 natural hydrocarbon refrigerant
- Threaded castors that can be swapped for 150mm legs

Good to know before you buy:
- Access: the cabinet stands 2000mm high on its castors, is 740mm wide and 740mm deep, and weighs 160 kg. It is delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises. Standard delivery does not include carrying it inside, so plan the route.
- Power: plugs into a standard 10 amp outlet with a 2 m cable.
- Airflow: the cassette breathes through the grille at the base. Keep it clear of boxes and mats and leave some room around the cabinet.
- Finish: the rear and underside are not stainless steel as standard; a stainless steel rear and underside is an option.

Common questions:
Will it take gastronorm pans?
The Quartz Star is a general-purpose upright with plastic-coated wire shelves rather than GN tray slides. If you need a cabinet built around 2/1 GN pans, look at the Williams Garnet HG1SSHC.
Does it have a light inside?
Not as standard. Williams fits lighting to the glass door models only. Ask us if you need a light added to a solid door cabinet.
Can I use it at home?
No. Williams builds these cabinets for commercial use and does not warrant them for domestic applications.
