With a solid insulated door instead of glass, the Williams Quartz Star HQS1SWHC is the storage fridge of the single door Quartz Star family: built in Australia for back-of-house use in cafes, restaurants and takeaways where you want 500 litres of cold storage that shrugs off a hot kitchen. Williams rates this solid door model for room temperatures up to 43°C, higher than the 40°C rating of the glass door versions. It holds +1°C to +4°C, plugs into a 10 amp power point and has its refrigeration system in a removable cassette at the base. The HQS1GWHC is the glass door display version, and the HQS1SSHC is the same solid door fridge in stainless steel.

Good to know before you buy:
- Access: 2000mm high on castors, 740mm wide, 740mm deep and 160 kg. Delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises, so measure doorways and any tight turns before ordering. Lower castors and 150mm legs are available if height is a problem.
- Power: standard 10 amp plug with a 2 m cable. No electrician needed.
- Airflow: the cassette draws air at the base of the cabinet. Keep the lower grille clear and leave a little room around the unit.
- Lighting: solid door models do not have an interior light as standard. Ask us if you need one added.

The solid door keeps more cold in, so Williams rates this model for 43°C rooms against 40°C for the glass door version. The glass door models add triple glazing and LED lighting for display.
Does it need a drain?
No. The waste heat recovery vaporiser evaporates the defrost water. It only needs a 10 amp power point. We supply the equipment only.
Can I get a lock or a pass-through door?
Yes. Cylindrical locks and pass-through doors (solid or glass to the rear) are options at the time of order. Ask us for details.
