Mecnosud is an Italian manufacturer of dough and bakery machinery, from compact spiral mixers for pizzerias to bakery mixers, dividers and pastry sheeters for production bakeries. Mecnosud machines are distributed in Australia by International Catering Equipment (ICE).

Spiral mixer or fork mixer?

A spiral mixer is the all-rounder for pizza and bread dough. A fork mixer works the dough more gently, which many bakers prefer for traditional bread. Both are sized by the weight of finished dough they make in one batch.

What size mixer do I need?

Choose by your biggest batch of finished dough. Each listing shows both the finished dough and the flour the mixer takes: for example, the SMM0044 takes 25kg of flour for 38kg of dough. All the mixers need a water to flour ratio of at least 50%.

Do I need three-phase power?

Many models run on single-phase power, including the SMM0005, SMM0018, SMM0025, SMM0044, SMM9925 and SMM9944 spiral mixers, the SMF0025 fork mixer, the dough rollers, the DBM0800 dough rounder and the PSM0570 sheeter. The SMM3344 two speed mixer needs a 15 amp outlet. The other two speed mixers, the dividers and the floor sheeter need three-phase power, connected by a licensed electrician.

What warranty applies?

Most of the spiral mixers have ICE's Double Gold Star warranty: 2 years parts and labour. The other Mecnosud machines have a 12 month warranty, back to base for the 300mm dough rollers and the SMM0005.
