Dihr LP1 S8 HR PLUS - Front Loading Pot and Utensil Washer 550 x 665 Rack with Heat Recovery
The Dihr LP1 S8 HR PLUS is a front loading pot and utensil washer with a built-in heat recovery system, for kitchens that want to cut steam and energy use while washing large pots, pans and trays. It has the same 550 x 665mm rack and 805mm tray height as the LP1 S8 PLUS, but the HR unit on top recovers about 4.85 kWh per hour and, according to Scots Ice, brings humidity volume down by roughly 20%. It runs four cycles of 3 to 9 minutes from a 5 inch TFT touch display.
Key features:
- Heat recovery (HR) system, recovering about 4.85 kWh per hour (Dihr figure, based on the shortest cycle)
- Reduces humidity volume by approximately 20% (Scots Ice)
- 550 x 665mm rack with up to 805mm of tray height
- 4 wash cycles of 3, 5, 7 and 9 minutes
- 4.2 litres of water per cycle, rinsing at 85°C
- 5 inch TFT touch display
- Double-skin construction with a deep-formed tank and double tank filter with dirt collection

Good to know before you buy:
- Cold water: Scots Ice states this model requires a cold water connection, which the heat recovery system uses. The Dihr spec sheet also shows a hot water inlet, so have your licensed plumber follow the spec sheet. Dihr notes it is not for reverse-osmosis (osmotic) water.
- Power: 8 kW on 400V three phase. It must be connected by a licensed electrician. We supply the equipment only.
- Height: the machine is 2165mm tall with the HR unit, so check your ceiling height and any overhead pipes or shelving.
- Access: at 165 kg it is delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises. Check doorways and plan how you will move it inside.
Compare similar models:
- Dihr LP1 S8 PLUS: same rack and size without heat recovery, 1890mm high
- Dihr LP2 SHR PLUS: heat recovery model with a larger 700 x 700mm rack
- Dihr LP3 SHR PLUS: heat recovery model with an 850 x 725mm rack
- Dihr LP4 S8 HR PLUS: largest heat recovery model, 1350 x 725mm rack
Common questions:
Why choose the HR version?
The heat recovery system saves energy and reduces the steam released into your kitchen, which helps where ventilation is limited. You trade that for a taller machine (2165mm versus 1890mm).
What fits inside?
The rack is 550 x 665mm with 805mm of height, enough for tall stock pots, GN pans and trays.
Do you install it?
We supply the equipment only. It must be connected by a licensed electrician and a licensed plumber in your area.
