Jasper JA-1DB - Single Wok Burner Range
The Jasper JA-1DB is a heavy-duty single wok range from Simco's Jasper Asian cooking line, built for stir-fry, noodle and fried-rice cooking at high heat. Its duckbill burner sits under a 14 inch wok hole and is rated at 100 MJ/h on natural gas or 80 MJ/h on LPG, with FailSafe flame-failure protection. At 600mm wide it is the compact choice for a cafe, takeaway or restaurant adding wok cooking, while the JA-2DB and JA-3DB offer two and three wok holes.

Good to know before you buy:
- Gas type: choose Natural Gas or LPG from the Gas Type option when you order (same price).
- Installation: it must be installed by a licensed gas fitter to AS/NZS 5601 and local regulations, under an exhaust canopy. We supply the equipment only.
- Water and drain: the water tap and drain must be connected by a licensed plumber.
- Clearances: Simco specifies 350mm at each side, 150mm at the back and 1500mm above from flammable surfaces.
- Access: packed it is 680mm wide, 1300mm tall and 104 kg, delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises.

Common questions:
What does "DB" mean?
DB is the duckbill burner version. Simco also makes chimney-burner versions of this range (JA-1CB). Ask us if you would prefer a chimney burner.
Does it need water?
Yes, for the knee-operated tap and the drain. Simco notes the wok table doesn't need constant water flow, as it's a waterless wok design.
Do you install it?
We supply the equipment only. It must be connected by a licensed gas fitter, and the water and drain by a licensed plumber, in your area.
