Williams Glass Chiller GC1UGDSL / GC1RGDSL - 1 Door Spring Loaded Glass Chiller 1021mm
On a busy bar the spring-loaded Williams Glass Chiller GC1UGDSL keeps the next cold glass at the top of the stack: as staff take glasses, the lifting mechanism raises the baskets below, so nobody is bending into the cabinet mid-rush. Designed and built in Australia, it holds +1°C to +4°C in rooms up to 40°C, takes three standard glass baskets, and plugs into a 10 amp outlet. The GC1UGD is the shelf-loading version of the same one-door cabinet, the GC15UGDSL is the spring-loaded model for 500 x 500mm baskets, and the GC1RGDSL is the remote cabinet for venues with a central condensing unit.
Key features:
- Spring-loaded lifting mechanism that raises the basket stack as glasses are taken
- Rapidly chills beer glasses for quick bar service
- Holds +1°C to +4°C, designed for a 40°C ambient
- Takes three glass baskets (355 x 355mm or 355 x 431mm, not included), based on 150mm high glasses
- Self-closing triple-glazed glass door and a polycarbonate night lid
- Adjustable electronic controller with digital temperature display
- Forced-air refrigeration with auto defrost
- Stainless steel interior and exterior (excluding rear and underside)

Good to know before you buy:
- Access: 1021mm wide, 600mm deep, 845mm high on castors and 100 kg for the self-contained unit. Delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises; moving it to the bar is up to you.
- Power: standard 10 amp power point.
- Baskets: not included. Use standard 355 x 355mm or 355 x 431mm glass baskets, three high.
- Remote version: the GC1RGDSL comes without a condensing unit. It is fitted with the evaporator, TX valve, controller, plug, junction box and condensate drain. Your refrigeration mechanic supplies and installs a condensing unit for 570 W at -5°C SST on R448A, plus pipework and controls (no solenoids supplied). We supply the equipment only.
- What it is for: a glass chiller for glassware, not a food fridge.
Compare similar models:
- Williams GC1UGD: the same one-door chiller with two shelves instead of the spring lift
- Williams GC15UGDSL: spring-loaded one-door model for 500 x 500mm baskets, 1166mm wide
- Williams GC2UGDSL: two-door spring-loaded model, 1727mm wide
- Williams FGC1: slimline one-door glass chiller with a top-loading sliding lid
Common questions:
How does the spring loading work?
The baskets sit in a spring-loaded cage. As the top basket empties and is lifted out, the springs raise the baskets underneath, so the next full basket of cold glasses comes up to the top of the cabinet.
Can it be built into a bar?
Yes. The hinges are face mounted and plinth-mount ready, and the unit can sit on its castors or on the 150mm legs supplied loose inside.
Do you install it?
We supply the equipment only. The self-contained GC1UGDSL plugs into a 10 amp outlet. The remote GC1RGDSL must be connected to a condensing unit by a licensed refrigeration mechanic in your area.

Warranty: Williams 24-month parts and labour warranty on the self-contained GC1UGDSL, from the date of invoice, carried out by Williams authorised service agents on the Australian mainland. The remote GC1RGDSL carries 12 months parts only. Warranty repairs must be logged with Williams first.
