Williams Quartz Star HQS3SWHC - 3 Door White Colorbond Upright Storage Fridge 1845mm 1500L
The Williams Quartz Star HQS3SWHC is a three solid door storage fridge with 1500 litres of capacity, made in Australia for restaurant, hotel, club and catering kitchens that need serious bulk cold storage from a plug-in cabinet. The solid insulated doors earn it a 43°C ambient rating, the highest in the Quartz Star range, so it suits hot back-of-house areas. It holds +1°C to +4°C, runs on a standard 10 amp outlet and keeps its refrigeration system in a removable cassette under the cabinet. The HQS3GWHC is the glass door display version and the HQS3SSHC is the same solid door fridge in stainless steel.
Key features:
- Three solid insulated doors for strong cold retention and a 43°C ambient rating
- 1500 litres of storage with 4 adjustable plastic-coated shelves per door (12 in total)
- Holds +1°C to +4°C with a CoolSmart electronic controller
- Bottom-mounted refrigeration in a removable cassette for simple servicing
- Waste heat recovery vaporiser evaporates defrost water, so no drain is needed
- Auto defrost and R290 natural hydrocarbon refrigerant
- White Colorbond interior and exterior with a stainless steel internal floor
- Threaded castors with a simple changeover to legs if required
- Designed and manufactured by Williams in Dandenong South, Victoria

Good to know before you buy:
- Access: at 1845mm wide, 745mm deep, 2000mm high on castors and 300 kg, this cabinet needs a clear path. It is delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises and is not carried inside, so measure doorways and corridors first.
- Power: standard 10 amp plug with a 2 m cable, drawing 3.8 A in normal running. No electrician needed.
- Airflow: the cassette draws air through the grille at the base of the cabinet. Keep it clear of boxes and mats.
- Lighting: solid door models have no interior light as standard. Ask us if you need one added.
Compare similar models:
- Williams HQS3GWHC: glass door display version with LED lighting, rated for 38°C rooms
- Williams HQS3SSHC: the same solid door fridge in stainless steel
- Williams HQS2SWHC: two solid doors, 900 litres, 1225mm wide
- Williams HP3SWHC: Pearl range solid door three-door with top-mounted refrigeration, 1510 litres
Common questions:
Is this the right fridge for a hot kitchen?
Yes. With solid doors, Williams rates the HQS3SWHC for room temperatures up to 43°C, against 38°C for the three-door glass version.
Does it need a drain or an electrician?
Neither. It plugs into a 10 amp power point and the vaporiser evaporates the defrost water. We supply the equipment only.
Can I get locks fitted?
Yes. Cylindrical locks are an option at the time of order. Ask us for a price.
