At 610 litres, the Williams Emerald LE2USS holds more frozen stock than any self-contained Opal freezer, and it does it behind two doors in an 1816mm cabinet because the Emerald range is 800mm deep and built around 2/1 Gastronorm pans. It holds –18°C to –22°C in rooms up to 40°C, breathes through the front from a removable refrigeration cassette, and needs no drain, so it can be built in under a bench. Order the self-contained LE2USS, which plugs into a 10 amp outlet, or the LE2RSS remote cabinet, 1634mm wide and supplied without a condensing unit for connection to your own refrigeration plant. Good to know before you buy:
- Refrigeration option: the LE2USS arrives complete and plugs in. The LE2RSS is supplied without a condensing unit, so your refrigeration mechanic supplies, sizes and installs the condensing unit, pipework and controls (solenoids are not fitted or supplied). Williams can advise on sizing. We supply the equipment only.
- Power: a standard 10 amp outlet. The self-contained freezer draws 4.8 A while running, so give it a dedicated power point.
- Access: the self-contained freezer is 1816mm wide, 800mm deep and 160 kg. It is delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises, so measure doorways and make sure your bench run is deep enough.
- Airflow: keep the front grille clear. No side or rear gap is needed on the self-contained model.
- Options: two-drawer sets in place of either door, cylindrical locks, extra shelves, a stainless rear and underside, or 150mm legs. Ask us for a price.

How much power does it use?
Williams tests the self-contained LE2USS at 10.1 kWh per 24 hours to EN 16825, which reflects pulling 610 litres down to –22°C in a 40°C test room. The matching HE2USS fridge uses 1.9 kWh a day, so a freezer this size is a real running cost to budget for.
Is there a bigger self-contained Emerald freezer?
No. The three-door Emerald freezer (LE3RSS) is made as a remote cabinet only, so the LE2USS is the largest Emerald freezer you can simply plug in.
Do you install it?
We supply the equipment only. The self-contained LE2USS plugs into a power point. The LE2RSS remote cabinet must be connected to a condensing unit by a licensed refrigeration mechanic in your area.
