Williams Pearl LP1GWHC - 1 Door White Colorbond Upright Display Freezer 740mm 520L
Ice cream, frozen desserts and ready meals sell better when customers can see them, and the Williams Pearl LP1GWHC is the single glass door freezer for that job. Built in Australia, it holds -18°C to -22°C behind a heated triple-glazed glass door with LED lighting, stores 520 litres on four shelves and plugs into a standard 10 amp outlet. A glass door freezer works harder than a fridge, so Williams rates this model for rooms up to 38°C and it uses 13.92 kWh a day, against 6.42 kWh for the solid door LP1SWHC. The LP1GSHC is the same freezer in stainless steel, and the HP1GWHC is the fridge version of this cabinet.
Key features:
- Heated triple-glazed glass door fitted as standard, which keeps condensation off the glass so frozen stock stays visible
- Cool white LED strip lighting with a soft-touch dimmer switch
- 520 litres of frozen storage on 4 adjustable plastic-coated shelves with strips and clips
- Holds -18°C to -22°C and is rated for room temperatures up to 38°C
- CoolSmart electronic controller for even temperatures and energy efficiency
- Electric auto defrost, so there is no manual defrosting
- Top-mounted refrigeration system, away from floor dust and simple to service
- Waste heat recovery vaporiser deals with defrost water, so no drain connection is needed
- R290 natural hydrocarbon refrigerant
- Designed and manufactured by Williams in Dandenong South, Victoria

Good to know before you buy:

- Power: plugs into a standard 10 amp power point with a 2 m cable. No electrician is needed.
- Room temperature: rated to 38°C. For a very hot kitchen, the solid door LP1SWHC is rated to 40°C.
- Airflow: the refrigeration system sits on top of the cabinet, so leave clear space above and around it for warm air to escape.
- Drain: none needed. The vaporiser evaporates defrost water.
Compare similar models:
- Williams LP1SWHC: solid door storage freezer, 6.42 kWh per day and rated to 40°C
- Williams LP1GSHC: the same glass door freezer in stainless steel
- Williams HP1GWHC: glass door fridge version, +1°C to +4°C
- Williams LP2GWHC: two glass door freezer, 950 litres, 1225mm wide
Common questions:
Why is it rated for 38°C rooms when the fridge is rated for 40°C?
Pulling a cabinet down to -22°C through a glass door is harder work than holding +4°C, so Williams rates its glass door freezers to 38°C and its solid door and fridge models to 40°C. For most shops and cafes that is plenty of margin.
Will the glass fog up?
Williams fits heated triple-glazed glass as standard on its glass door freezers, which keeps condensation off the door so customers can see what is inside.
Do you install it?
No installation is needed. It plugs into a 10 amp outlet and there is no drain to connect. We supply the equipment only.
