Blizzard SIC-40L - Crystal Square Ice Maker 50mm Cubes 40kg/24hr
Serve whisky, spirits and signature cocktails over a proper big cube. Good to know before you buy:
- Water and drain: it needs a cold water supply and a drain, connected by a licensed plumber. FED recommends a water filter (ask us about the WFI37000 filter kit). We supply the equipment only.
- Power: runs on a standard 240V, 10 A supply.
- Output: 40kg of large cubes is plenty for spirits and cocktail service. If you also need everyday ice for soft drinks and water, pair it with a standard cube machine.
- Maintenance: FED advises that ice machines must be maintained. Change the water filter cartridge every 6 months and descale the unit. If the ice machine is not maintained, the warranty may be void.
Compare similar models:
- Blizzard SIC-63R: faceted 30 x 30 x 25mm octagonal cylinder ice, 63kg a day
- Blizzard SN-200P: larger 48 x 48 x 58mm cubes, up to 98kg a day, 30kg storage
- Blizzard FWIC-54C: crescent ice, 54kg a day, 30kg storage
Common questions:
Why choose large square cubes?
Large 50mm cubes melt slowly, so whisky, spirits and cocktails stay colder for longer with less dilution. That is why bars and restaurants use them for premium drinks.
Is it splash resistant?
Yes. It is IPX3 rated for splash resistance, which helps behind a busy bar.
Do you install it?
We supply the equipment only. It must be connected to water and drain by a licensed plumber in your area.

Warranty: 2 years parts and labour.
