Two solid doors, 350 litres and a hydrocarbon refrigeration system make the Williams Opal HO2USSHC the everyday workhorse of the Opal foodservice counter range. It is 1/1 GN compatible, holds +1°C to +4°C in rooms up to 40°C, and breathes through the front so it can be built in under a bench. At 1418mm wide it suits a two-person prep line, and it uses just 1.4 kWh a day on test. Choose the self-contained HO2USSHC, which plugs into a 10 amp outlet and runs on R290, or the HO2RSS remote cabinet, which is 1237mm wide and supplied without a condensing unit for your own refrigeration plant. Good to know before you buy:
- Refrigeration option: the self-contained HO2USSHC is complete and plugs in. The HO2RSS remote is the same cabinet without a condensing unit: your refrigeration mechanic sizes, supplies and installs the condensing unit, pipework and controls (solenoids are not fitted or supplied). Williams can advise on sizing. We supply the equipment only.
- Power: a standard 10 amp outlet for either version. The remote cabinet uses its outlet for the controller, fans and defrost only.
- Access: the self-contained unit is 1418mm wide, 700mm deep and 130 kg, delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises. Check doorways and corridors, as this is a long cabinet.
- Airflow: keep the front grille clear. No side or rear clearance is needed on the self-contained model, so it can sit hard against a wall or between benches.
- Options: two or three-drawer sets in place of either door, pass-through doors, cylindrical locks, extra shelves, a stainless rear and underside, or 150mm legs instead of castors. Ask us for a price.

Common questions:
What does the HC in the model code mean?
HC stands for hydrocarbon. The self-contained HO2USSHC runs on R290, a natural refrigerant with very low global warming potential. The remote HO2RSS cabinet is built for R448A, which your refrigeration mechanic charges when the condensing unit is connected.
Can I run it on my existing refrigeration plant?
Yes, that is what the HO2RSS remote version is for. It needs a condensing unit rated for about 400 W at –5°C saturated suction temperature. Williams can help your mechanic size it. The warranty on a remote cabinet is 12 months parts only.
Do you install it?
We supply the equipment only. The self-contained model plugs into a power point. The remote cabinet must be connected to a condensing unit by a licensed refrigeration mechanic in your area.
