The Bromic SB406 is the largest storage bin in Bromic's range, holding up to 406 kg of ice under a modular ice machine head. At 1235mm wide and 1268mm high it suits high-volume venues such as clubs, hotels and large catering operations that need a lot of ice ready at once. It is built for Bromic's larger heads, the IM0320HDM and IM0485HDM half dice heads and the IM0300FM-NR and IM0400FM-NR flake heads, and every one of them needs an adaptor to fit it. It stores ice only; the head on top makes it.

Good to know before you buy:
- Adaptor always needed: no Bromic head sits on the SB406 without an adaptor. Adaptors are not listed separately, so the easiest way to buy is to choose the SB406 option on the head's product page, which includes the right adaptor. If you already own a compatible head, ask us.
- Not for the smaller heads: Bromic's chart doesn't list the IM0160HDM, IM0250HDM or IM0200FM-NR for this bin. They suit the SB129, SB178 or SB243.
- Access: packed, it is 1285mm wide, 1318mm high and 109 kg. Check doorways and corridors and arrange help to move it, as delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises only.
- Water / drain: the head on top needs a water supply and drain, connected by a licensed plumber. We supply the equipment only.

Common questions:
Does the SB406 make ice?
No. It is a storage bin. A Bromic modular head sits on top, makes the ice and drops it into the bin.
How tall is it with a head fitted?
Adding the heights from Bromic's data, about 1843mm with the IM0320HDM, 1918mm with the IM0300FM-NR and 2058mm with the IM0400FM-NR, before the bin's feet and the adaptor. With the IM0485HDM it is about 2068mm.
Why choose such a large bin?
Bin capacity is how much ice is ready at one time. A large bin lets a high-output head build up a large reserve before a rush, such as a function or a hot day.
