Bromic SB178 - Ice Machine Storage Bin, 178kg, 768mm
The Bromic SB178 is a 768mm-wide insulated storage bin that holds up to 178 kg of ice under a Bromic modular ice machine head. It works with all seven Bromic modular heads: the 760mm-wide IM0320HDM and IM0485HDM half dice heads sit on it directly, and the other five fit with an adaptor. At 1043mm high it is about the same height as the smaller SB129, so it gives you more storage without raising the overall height. The bin stores ice only; the head on top makes it.

Good to know before you buy:
- Needs a head: the SB178 stores ice but does not make it. A compatible Bromic modular head sits on top.
- Adaptors: Bromic adaptors are not listed separately. If you are buying a head as well, choose the SB178 option on the head's product page and the right adaptor is included where needed. If you already own a head that needs an adaptor, ask us.
- Water / drain: the head on top needs a water supply and drain, connected by a licensed plumber. We supply the equipment only.
- Access: the packed bin is 818 x 893 x 1093 mm and 67 kg. It comes by tailgate truck to the front of your premises, so check your doorways.

They have almost the same footprint and suit the same heads. The SB243 holds 65 kg more ice but is 1268mm high instead of 1043mm, so the SB178 is the pick when ceiling height is limited.
How tall is it with a head on top?
About 1618mm with the IM0320HDM and 1843mm with the IM0485HDM, from Bromic's data, not counting the bin's feet. The other heads need an adaptor between head and bin, so ask us if you need an exact overall height.
Does 178 kg mean it makes 178 kg of ice a day?
No. That is how much the bin holds at once. Daily output depends on the head.
