Bromic IM0160HDM - Modular Ice Machine, Half Dice, 160kg/24h, 558mm
The Bromic IM0160HDM is a modular half dice ice machine head rated at 160 kg per 24 hours, the entry point to Bromic's modular range. Half dice is a small, economical 10 g cube that Bromic recommends for blending and general use, so it suits juice and smoothie bars, cafes and restaurants with a steady demand for ice. As a modular head it makes the ice and drops it into a separate storage bin below, so it needs a compatible bin. Of the four half dice heads, this is the only one that plugs into a standard 10 amp outlet.
Key features:
- Rated at 160 kg of half dice ice per 24 hours
- Small 10 g half dice cubes, ideal for blending and general use
- Buy the head on its own, or with a matching Bromic storage bin
- Sits directly on the SB129 bin; the SB178 and SB243 fit with the CBT30EMCD adaptor
- Standard 10 amp plug
- Vented cooling system that Bromic says needs less clearance around and above it
- Agion antimicrobial-treated materials
- PCB controller and stainless steel construction inside and out

Good to know before you buy:
- Storage bin: the head has nowhere to keep ice, so it must sit on a bin. Choose "Ice machine head only" if you already have a compatible bin, or pick a bin option: the SB129 fits directly, and the SB178 and SB243 options include the CBT30EMCD adaptor. Bin capacity is how much ice is stored at once, not the 160 kg the head makes over 24 hours.
- Height: head plus bin is about 1654mm on the SB129, 1652mm on the SB178 and 1877mm on the SB243, not counting the bin's feet or the adaptor.
- Water / drain: it needs a cold water supply and a drain, connected by a licensed plumber. We supply the equipment only. Bromic also offers a water filtration kit; ask us.
- Room temperature: Bromic rates the half dice heads for rooms up to 40°C, a little lower than its flake and self-contained models, so keep it in a well-ventilated spot.
Compare similar models:
- Bromic IM0250HDM: same footprint and bin choices, 250 kg per 24 hours, 16 A plug
- Bromic IM0320HDM: 760mm-wide half dice head, 320 kg per 24 hours
- Bromic IM0200FM-NR: flake ice head, 200 kg per 24 hours, also fits the SB129 directly
- Bromic IM0134SSC-NR: self-contained solid cube machine, 134 kg per 24 hours with a 50 kg built-in bin
Common questions:
What is half dice ice good for?
Bromic describes half dice as an economical ice that is ideal for blending and general purposes. Each piece is listed at 10 g.
Does it come with a bin?
Only if you choose a bin option. "Ice machine head only" is the head by itself, for buyers who already have a compatible bin.
Do you install it?
We supply the equipment only. A licensed plumber must connect the water and drain, and the head plugs into a standard 10 amp outlet.
