Built for cook-chill production at scale, the Polaris GC201 takes two full 1/1 GN trolleys, one behind the other, in one cell and brings up to 160 kg of cooked food down to +3°C, or freezes 160 kg to -18°C, in a single cycle. It suits central production kitchens, hospitals, aged care, airline and event caterers. Like the rest of the GC range it runs from a separate remote condensing unit (GMR201), and at 2300 mm deep it doubles the capacity of the single-trolley GC101 behind the same 1300 mm frontage.

Good to know before you buy:

• Not included: the GMR201 remote condensing unit, the R-GCX01 ramp and the trolleys are sold separately.
• Assembly and connection: the cell is supplied disassembled and needs assembling on site. A licensed refrigeration mechanic must run and connect the refrigeration lines, and a licensed electrician must connect the three-phase supply. We supply the equipment only.
• Condensing unit location: the standard remote unit is rated for outside temperatures from -10°C up to 38°C. An enclosed, sound-insulated version (GMR201-CS) is also listed.
• Access: close to a tonne packed, delivered by tailgate truck to the front of your premises. Plan lifting equipment and a clear route in advance.

Common questions:

Why is it a remote system?
The GC201 cell holds the evaporator, while the compressor and condenser sit in the separate GMR201 unit. That unit can be placed outside or in a plant room, keeping heat and noise out of the kitchen.

Can it take bakery trolleys?
Yes. Polaris specifies the cell for 1/1 GN or EN1 (600 x 400) trolleys.

Do you install it?
We supply the equipment only. It must be assembled and connected by a licensed refrigeration mechanic and a licensed electrician in your area.
