Williams Blast Chiller WMBCF160C - 160Kg Roll In Blast Chiller/Freezer Combi Trolley Compatible 1670mm

The Williams WMBCF160C is a one-trolley roll-in blast chiller/freezer with a 160 kg rating: blast chill 160 kg of cooked food in 90 minutes or blast freeze 160 kg in 240 minutes, from a single 1/1 or 2/1 GN combi trolley. It comes with the 90mm insulated, heated floor that freezer operation needs, three core probes and a thermal printer for HACCP cycle records, and it switches to storage mode when each cycle finishes. The remote condensing unit, sized for 17.3 kW at -15°C SST, is supplied and installed separately by your refrigeration mechanic. It is the biggest single-trolley chiller/freezer below the 200 kg WMBCF200C, and the WMBC160C is its chill-only twin.

Key features:

  • Blast chills up to 160 kg per 90-minute cycle or blast freezes 160 kg per 240-minute cycle
  • 900mm wide door opening for one loaded 1/1 or 2/1 GN mobile rack or combi oven trolley
  • Easy Blast 1-2-3 control panel, three steps to start a chill or freeze cycle
  • Three core food temperature probes for accurate control of each batch
  • Thermal printer records and prints cycle data for HACCP compliance
  • Automatic switch to storage mode at the end of each cycle, with automatic defrost after every cycle or every six hours
  • AirSmart airflow design for uniform chilling and freezing without product dehydration
  • 90mm insulated and heated floor supplied for freezer operation
  • Modular stainless steel panels delivered flat packed; large easy-access fans and evaporator

  • Capacity rating: based on blast chilling uncovered dense food such as mashed potato, maximum 50mm deep; times vary with the container and type of food

Good to know before you buy:

  • Floor recess or ramp: the 90mm insulated, heated floor needs a recess of no more than 100mm, or the optional external ramp, so a loaded trolley can be wheeled in.
  • Remote refrigeration: no condensing unit is supplied. Your refrigeration mechanic supplies and installs a unit for 17.3 kW at -15°C SST, plus pipework and controls. Williams can advise on sizing. We supply the equipment only.
  • Installation: delivered flat packed as modular panels with the evaporator section in one piece, for erection on site by your installer. Delivery is by tailgate truck to the front of your premises.
  • Power: 415 V three-phase at the control panel, 16 amp, connected by a licensed electrician.
  • Trolley: not listed in the standard supply; use your own 1/1 or 2/1 GN combi trolley or mobile rack.

Common questions:

How do the three core probes work?
You push the probes into the thickest part of the food in different parts of the trolley. The controller uses the probe readings to run the cycle to the target core temperature, and the thermal printer records them for your HACCP log.

What does "C" at the end of the model code mean?
In the Williams model key the C suffix marks the 900mm door roll-in, the combi trolley compatible version. Williams also lists 700mm door versions without the C, which suit narrower racks but not a standard combi oven trolley.

Do you install it?
No. We supply the equipment only. The chamber is assembled on site by your installer, the three-phase supply is connected by a licensed electrician and the refrigeration, including the separately supplied condensing unit, by a licensed refrigeration mechanic in your area.

Warranty: Williams 12-month parts-only warranty from the date of invoice, as this remote unit is connected to a separately supplied condensing unit. Warranty repairs must be logged with and authorised by Williams first.
